LG lifeband touch & Heart rate earphones

At its 2014 CES press conference, LG officially announced its wearable fitness tracker, the Lifeband Touch, along with its companion, Heart Rate Earphones. The Lifeband Touch will play your heart rate into your ear to let you hear exactly how fast your heart is beating. It links to an Android phone, iPhone or dedicated heart rate monitor via Bluetooth and in addition to providing several key fitness statistics and functions, can tell the time and alert you when you've received a text or call. The earphones feature PerformTek sensor technology, which measures blood flow from the external part of the ear. Both devices will be available in the first half of 2014. Prices are yet to be revealed.

MIO LINK

This straightforward wristband won't show notifications from your phone or let you know how many calories you've burned _ it doesn't even have its own screen. The Mio Link only monitors your heart rate using electro-optical technology. To access collected data, users must transmit it to any Bluetooth 4.0-enabled device. Their cardiac statistics can be tracked via a companion app called mioGO. Thanks to the ANT+ connectivity, Mio Link can be simultaneously broadcast to other ANT+ enabled wearables or apps _ for example, you can send data from the Mio Link to your smartphone and bike computer at the same time. The wearable will be released in March with a US$99 (3,300 baht) price tag.

MISFIT SHINE

This sleek personal monitor syncs with your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and the free Shine app to track your activity level. Simply tap it and a cluster of lights glows through its metal shell to indicate progress toward your daily exercise goal. It's all done without buttons, cables or the necessity to charge. Built to last a lifetime and carved from aircraft-grade aluminum, its easily-changed battery provides power for up to four months. The unit is also water-resistant, so you can include swimming in your training regimen. The Misfit Shine complements any style of clothing and can be worn anywhere _ on your wrist, shoe, bra strap, belt or around your neck. With a one-size-fits-all sport band for your wrist, the Misfit Shine retails at iStudio and iBeat stores nationwide for 4,990 baht.

PEBBLE STEEL

Pebble Steel takes everything you know and love about the Pebble watch _ the crystal clear E-paper display, week-long battery life and waterproof design _ and wraps it in a smaller, thinner package. The display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass lens with an oleophobic, anti-fingerprint coating. The housing also subtly incorporates an RGB LED light to indicate charge status. Like the Pebble, the Pebble Steel is waterproof up to 5atm (about 50 metres). With two finishes _ brushed stainless and back matte _ all models are bundled with a matching metal band and a black leather strap. The Pebble Steel can be ordered exclusively at getpebble.com for US$249. Free worldwide courier shipping is included for early birds. Orders will begin shipping on Jan 28.
